New Delhi. On behalf of the Building Department of North Delhi Municipal Corporation, people will now have to now have to find the long line of banks to deposit the charge of business and depositors from commercial and depositors from commercial and depositors.
The North MCD Building Department has given a facility to submit checks to all these people instead of demand draft. A circular has also been issued by the Building Department in this regard. Now, while removing all these inconveniences, a provision has been made to deposit the fee through check.
North MCD leader Sadan Yogesh Kumar Verma said that before this circular of this department, these fees were taken through demand draft. Due to this, businessmen/depositors had to face a lot of inconvenience.
At the same time, they had to pay additional charge to make the demand draft and for this, the banks also had to be in line. To get rid of all these inconveniences, a provision has also been made by the corporation to deposit these fees through checks.
Verma said that the tax clerk of the zonal building department will give his receipt to the depositors at the same time in lieu of check/demand draft and at the same time he will also see that his mobile no. And the house address must also be written.
Apart from this, a stamp will be installed in the back side of the check by the tax clerk, in which the head of account will be mentioned.
He informed that whatever check/demand drafts will be submitted by the tax clerk by 3 pm every day, they will prepare the challan and submit them to the zonal corporation fund and the tax clerk will keep a copy of each challan himself. Also, a register will also be maintained for the entry of the check so that it will remain a mutual record in the zonal building department in future.
He also informed that if the check/demand draft has been deposited by the depositor, it is bounced in the bank, then the zonal Executive Engineer-Bhavan department will also take necessary action for recovery against them.
