Actually, the story of this novel was of a boy in which a rich girl comes to Canada to roam and the boy falls in love with him at a glance. The boy keeps chasing the girl, but he is unable to find it and eventually he goes mad and he dies. According to a news published in Dainik Bhaskar, the 6 actors who read the script of this film had to lose their lives and later the script of this film was hidden by the cursed Maun makers.
The script of the film was finalized in 1979. The name of comedian actor John Belushi was first chosen for the film’s hero. He was given to read the script. A few days later, John Belshi died of drug overdose at the hotel. His mysterious death raised many questions, but no answer was received.
After this actor Sam Kinisan was contacted. In 1987, he was given to read the script. A few days later, Sam died in a car accident. At that time his wife present in the car told that before dying Sam was saying ‘I do not want to die’, as if he was talking with an invisible power. Then before taking his last breath, he said ‘OK OK OK’.
After that everyone felt that this story was cursed, while some started calling it confusion. After this, John Candy’s name was fixed for the role of Atuk in this film. He was shown a script in 1993. After reading the script, John said yes. A few days later, John also died under suspicious circumstances in the hotel room.
It is said that John Candy was given the script Michael O’Donoue. This was the same person who also gave the script to another actor. While giving the script, Michael also read it many times. A few days after John Kandy’s death, O’Donoue also died untimely.
Now people were convinced that this is a cursed story. When so much deaths started happening, the director made some changes in the script. After this, this script was given to actor Chris Farley. Chris ignored the previous events and said yes to work in the film. He also died a few days later.
