Recently, while talking with ‘The Jagarnot’, veteran director Anurag Kashyap heard T-Series and its owner Bhushan Kumar fiercely. Anurag Kashyap, who often talks about lobby and groups in the industry, once again emphasized that the T series does not appreciate the talent and simply promotes the content of celebrity.
Anurag said that the music of many of his films is still liked today, but he got very little money for that work. He jokingly said, ‘If Bhushan Kumar is not buying it, then music is good!’. He says that his films whose songs have not been forgotten till date, they got no equal money for the same songs. Anurag says that the music of films like ‘Dev D’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Gulal’ is still in the favorite list of fans, but the T-series made them nominally paid in return.
Talking about this, the director said, ‘He earned a lot from the music of these films, but I did not get anything special. They only pay money to Star Power, not the quality of music. He also told that he got the most money for the music of ‘Bombay Velvet’, but the irony was that the music of that film did not like much.
Anurag Kashyap, who is immortal on screen by making a film like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, believes that the T series does not understand music and he only promotes the running songs. They only promote Star Power and they are not appreciated by art and artist.
