Later, his films did not succeed much due to a mistake in the selection of the story. He was expected to return from Vijay starring Shankar’s film ‘Nanban’, but it did not happen. Both of them got married without telling the family and remained like a husband and wife for three months.

After secret marriage, Vandana accused Srikanth of not accepting her as a wife. Vandana lodged a complaint with the police. The case went on in court for almost a year and a decision came in favor of Vandana. Later, both families compromised and re -introduced Srikanth and Vandana. Both were married in 2008 and now they have two children.
