After The Usos unified the Tag Team Championships by defeating randy orton and riddle, The Bloodline launched a vicious post-match assault. They targeted Orton with steel step shots and hit Riddle with an Uuso Splash. Reigns then locked Orton in the Guillotine until he passed out. On the following episode of RAW, Riddle delivered an emotional statement about Orton’s injury and vowed to take down The Bloodline. In the weeks that followed, Riddle faced the Usos in multiple tag matches. On the June 3rd episode of SmackDown, Riddle defeated Sami Zayn to earn a shot at Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. In the title match, Riddle caught Reigns with a DDT off the ropes and delivered an RKO for a near fall. As he attempted a springboard RKO, Reigns countered with a mid-air Spear to secure the pinfall.
