According to the official X account of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, passengers will not need to download separate apps or navigate on separate digital platforms through this facility and will get the benefit of metro service easily. DMRC’s inclusion on the ONDC network with 6.5 million passengers providing an average travel facility daily is an interopeable, easy and an important step towards preparing digital ecosystems for passengers.
Delhi Metro tickets will be purchased from these apps
Now passengers can get a chance to buy Delhi Metro tickets through these popular apps instead of putting it in a long line. This list includes Chartr, Easemytrip, Google Maps, Highway Delete, Miles & Kilometres, Nammayatri, ONETICket, Rapido, Redbu, Tummoc and Yatri Railways.
This has been completed through a single-point tech interface prepared by Integrated System Sequelstring AI (SAI), which includes easy integration of Delhi Metro Ticketing in many apps. These apps include tour planners, ride–halling service and travel portal. This integration provides real time benefits to passengers, whether they are traveling inside the city or traveling from one city to another. For example, if a passenger is coming to Delhi from Jaipur by bus, he can now not only book bus tickets through Redbus, but can also buy Delhi Metro tickets for any station in the city from ISBT Kashmiri Gate.
Similarly, passengers traveling inside the city can reach from one place to another through the Rapido app and can also buy metro tickets through the same app. For example, you can book tickets from Dhaula Kuan to Anand Vihar. Let us tell you that DMRC is working on Phase-5 of the Metro Project to expand the metro connectivity in Delhi-NCR. The DMRC has submitted a resolution to the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry, which includes the construction of 18 new metro corridors spreading up to 206.5 km.
