New Delhi. After Northern Railway, now North Eastern Railway has also started preparing to provide disposal blankets, chadar and towel etc. to the railway passengers at its stations. To protect railway passengers from Kovid epidemic, the Northeast Railway is working fast on it. At present, it will be started by the railway at Gorakhpur Junction of Gorakhpur Division. Such facility has been assigned to private hands.

It is said that in the coming time, apart from Gorakhpur Junction of Lucknow division, it is likely to be started on two other divisions. Lucknow division which comes under both Northeast and Northern Railway. The Lucknow division under Northern Railway has already started in this direction.

Work is being done at Gorakhpur Junction
Apart from this, Izat Nagar and Varanasi Division also falls under the Northeast Railway Zone. At present, how long this facility can be started for the passengers in the entire zone on behalf of the officials, it is not yet said. Pankaj, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northeast Railway, told in a conversation with News18 India that at present, the process of providing disposal bedroll is being done on Gorakhpur Junction. Some tenders have also been released on this. At the same time, he told that Lucknow Division has worked in this direction. Along with him too, contact has been made to pursue this process. Some work is yet to be done in this direction.

According to railway officials, such facility is expected to meet from the month of March next March. Apart from platform number 9 of Gorakhpur, counters will also be opened to provide disposal bedroll at one and two platforms gate. At these counters, passengers will be able to buy blankets, sheets and towel etc. according to their convenience.

Sanitizer and mask will also be provided
Along with this, the railway administration will also provide sanitizer and masks to all passengers to protect the passengers from corona infection and under the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. It is said that if bedroll is not used, then passengers can also take them to their home. However, different potential fare of bed rolls has been fixed. The operation of trains was completely discontinued since the lockdown was set up on 22 March 2020 across the country to prevent corona virus infections. Due to this, bedrolls and curtains were also removed in AC trains.

Disposal material rates have also been fixed
According to the officials, the rates have also been determined to provide disposable material.
On taking a full set of sheet blankets, 250 rupees will have to be paid. On the other hand, if the sheet is taken, then you have to pay ₹ 50 for the sheet. If you take a pillow with a sheet, you have to pay ₹ 100 for it. Only for the blanket you have to pay ₹ 100. On the other hand, if the passenger takes a sheet with blankets, then he will have to pay ₹ 200.
