Nikita Roy Movie Review: डर के साथ सस्पेंस भी… जानिए कैसी है सोनाक्षी सिन्हा की ‘निकिता रॉय’?

After a long time, Sonakshi Sinha’s film has been released in theaters, named ‘Nikita Roy’. Earlier, she was seen in a small character in the 2024 film ‘Bade Mian Chhoti Mian’. The film is directed by his brother Kush Sinha, which is his first directed film. It is a supernatural thriller film, which has horror as well as suspense. ‘Logic versus Va Vishwas’, ‘Satya vs confusion’ and ‘fear vs. courage’- these are not just idioms, but the essence of the film ‘Nikita Roy’.

‘Nikita Roy’ is the story of a famous writer and journalist Nikita (Sonakshi Sinha) who writes against hypocritical babas and superstitions. The answer to every question for him is hidden in science and logic, but when his brother’s mysterious death in London, his faith starts to waver. In an attempt to know the truth of this death, she gets entangled in a world that she makes friendship forever. The story tells you that when your pain becomes too deep, our principles also become useless.

Sonakshi Sinha is playing the most serious role of her career in this film. His face, his eye pain and the depth of his voice… everything puts new life in the character. As ‘Nikita’, she has won both her merits and weaknesses well. Suhail Nayyar, who plays his former partner, is in a calm and restrained character. Initially, he may look light, but as the film moves forward, his presence brings a new turn in the story.

Paresh Rawal plays a spiritual guru Amardev, whose darkness hidden behind the peace of the face is the most scary part of the film. Their eyes speak, and their silence is scary. He has once again proved that he can bring depth in any character. Arjun Rampal has limited time on the screen, but his acting in the initial scene draws the audience and creates an atmosphere of the film. Kush Sinha’s direction is very mature, especially because this is his first film. He has not only limited the horror to scary faces, but has shown a new form of fear through psychological fear, loneliness and mental instability.
