New Delhi. ‘Metro these days’ has been released in theaters on 4 July 2025. This film, directed by Anurag Basu, has been prepared in a small budget. This film, which was prepared for just 85 crores, has an army of stars. Anupam Kher, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Sheikh and Ali Fazal are in the lead roles of the film. ‘Metro these days’ is a sequel to the 2007 musical romantic drama ‘Life in a Metro’ (2007). It has been produced by T-Series Films and Anurag Basu Productions.

Discussions in the Bollywood corridors about the film are that the budget of the film was only 65 crores earlier, but the producers spent about 20 crores more. However, a large part has already been recovered through digital rights, which has been sold for Rs 40 crore.

According to ABP report, Aditya Roy Kapoor is the highest payment member in Anurag Basu’s romantic-musical drama. He took about 5-6 crores for the role of ‘Partha’.

Interestingly, his romantic interest, Sara Ali Khan has received a fee of 3 crores i.e. 3 crores for this film.

Anupam Kher has received a fee of 3 to 5 crores for this film of Anurag Basu. In the film, his pair is made with Neena Gupta. The fee he charged for this film has not been revealed, but it is being said that he has charged more than 1 crore.

Pankaj Tripathi is being well liked in the film. He is being compared to veteran actor Irrfan Khan, who was seen in this film in 2007. He has charged 4 crores for this film.

Konkona Sen Sharma and Fatima Sana Sheikh have charged Rs 75 lakh to Rs 1 crore for the film. Ali Fazal is also in the film, the fees taken for his film have not been revealed.

Let me tell you that the film collected Rs 3.35 crore on Opening Day. The 2007 film is a sequel to Life in a metro, which was a sleeper hit. The film had earned only 80 lakh rupees on the first day, but it benefited a lot from ‘Word of Mouth’ and collected 24 crores.
