New Delhi. Akshay Kumar’s most awaited courtroom drama ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ has been released worldwide today and is indicating strength at the box office. According to industry tracker Caikanilk, the film has earned Rs 2.06 crore in advance booking. The film, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Pandey. The initial review is describing it as the best and exciting, which is expected to start a good start of the film.
Based on the true incident, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ focuses on the courageous life of C. Shankaran Nair, who was a barrister fighting in court against the British Empire after the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh murder case. Akshay is playing the role of Nair, while R Madhavan plays British lawyer Neville McCinley and Ananya Pandey plays Dilrit Gill. The film is based on Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat’s book ‘The Case That Shuk The Empire’.
Taran Adarsh told the film outstanding
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reviewed the film and described it as ‘outstanding’. He gave a 4-star rating to the Akshay Kumar starrer film and called it ‘powerful, vigorous and entertaining’. Taran wrote, ‘#Kesarichapter2 is not just a film. This reminds what we have lost and what we should never forget… Director #karansinghtyagi introduces a loud story that does complete justice with an untold chapter of India’s freedom struggle.
