The audience was very excited about the film ‘Kannappa’. This film was waiting for a long time. Finally, the film ‘Kannappa’ has been released in theaters today i.e. June 27. It is a Telugu language Mythological Divisional film, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, written by Vishnu Manchu and produced by Mohan Babu. It is based on the story of Kannappa, a devotee of Lord Shiva in Hinduism. The film stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead roles, while Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohan Babu, R.K. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Preeti Mukundan and Brahmanandam are in supporting roles. If you are also making up your mind to watch this film, then know before that how is this film?

‘Kannappa’ is the story of Thinadu (Vishnu Manchu), a tribal young man, who is big as an atheist. The film is inspired by the history of Sri Kalahasti Temple and shows the internal conflict of Thinadu and rebellion against old traditions. He loves Nemali (Preity Mukhundhan), a girl from his village and marries her. The main essence of the story is how Thinadu becomes a dedicated follower of Lord Shiva from an atheist, which reflects the mythological devotion of Kannappa.

The real life of the film is in its last 40 minutes, especially during emotional climax which is capable of impressing all the audience. The pre-climax part of Rudra (Prabhas) is well handled. However, the rest of the film seems to be scattered several times, in which the audience cannot connect themselves. The first part of the film is quite slow, which also makes a little boredom feel. However, by the second part, the film gains its momentum and keeps you tied till the climax.

Songs and locations are worth watching. Devotional songs focused on Lord Shiva and its lyrics are impressive. However, there is a lack of emotional depth in dialogues. The young Thinadu has played the role of Manchu Vishnu, but his dubbing is very bad. Mohanlal has done a cameo in the form of a reference, Mohan Babu has done a good job as Mahadev Shastri. Tamil senior hero Sharat Kumar has played the role of Kannappa’s father. Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal are good as Lord Shiva and Parvati.

VFX is quite good in climax. The production value of the film is fine according to the market. Manchu Vishnu should be appreciated as a producer and lead actor. Despite many challenges, he has managed to give a good result. This multistar film is full of so many veteran actors, which you can see with your entire family in theaters. I have 3 out of 5 stars of this film.
