A week later, he sent a warning to the roster. Next week, Gunther faced Teddy Goodz, where he won with the powerbomb. A week later, he planned on taking respect. Next week, Gunther faced Drew Gulak, where he won again. A week later, Gunther attacked Gulak backstage and next week, Gunther beat him. Gunther caught Gulak with a Boston Crab until Ricochet came out to defend him. A week later, Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser faced Ricochet and Gulak. Ludwig caught Gulak with a kick to win the match. Ricochet was checking on Gulak and Gunther caught him with a big boot. Next week, Gunther said he’s going to become the Intercontinental Champion and a week later, he faced Ricochet for it. Gunther hit him with a powerbomb to win the title. Next week, Gunther said he will bring honor back to his title. A week later, Ricochet got his rematch, where Gunther retained. Next week on Raw, R-Truth was celebrating the 4th of July, Gunther interrupted and they had a match, where Gunther won with the powerbomb.
