The bond of Ghaziabad has been released today, Ghaziabad has become the first green bond in the country with listing in BSE.
New Delhi. In Delhi today i.e. on Thursday, Bond Listing on BSE program was organized in BSE of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. After Lucknow, a bond of Ghaziabad, the second municipal corporation of Uttar Pradesh, has been released. This is the country’s first green bond.
The issue of bonds of the municipal corporation received an amount of Rs 150 crore, which will be used in Sahibabad Industrial Area by treating sewer water. Due to which the availability of water of about 1700 companies will be provided. With this, the load on ground water will also be less. That is why it has also been called green bond.
Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Ghaziabad MP VK Singh said that this is a very big opportunity on the bond listing ceremony of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. The country’s first green bond was released by the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. With this, after treatment of sewage water, it will be supplied in Sahibabad Industrial Area.
Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon of Uttar Pradesh said that Ghaziabad is the second municipal corporation in Uttar Pradesh, whose bond is listed. This is the first green bond in the country. It will be used to clean water and supply companies. This will also reduce the emphasis on ground water.
The Urban Development Minister of the state said that many more municipal corporations including Agra, Bareilly are trying to help them inspired by this. On this occasion, Union Minister and Ghaziabad MP General VK Singh, Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon, Ghaziabad Mayor Asha Sharma, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mahendra Tanwar and Durga Shankar Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development attended.
