On SmackDown last night, the show concluded with the contract signing between Cody Rhodes and John Cena, and to say that WWE planted the seed for a shocking double-turn at SummerSlam would be a massive understatement. For the first time in months, John Cena dropped his overly-villainous heel persona and just seemed like himself, while Cody on the other hand had a much darker demeanor throughout the segment, and the way Cody forced Cena to sign the contract certainly wasn’t the doings of a good guy.
