Microsoft has released the video of its “Windows 2030 Vision”. The video shows the major changes in the Windows operating system in the next 5 years, which gives special attention to the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Microsoft’s Enterprises and Security Corporate Vice President David Weston indicated in the video that the future will connect more to the future Windows users and would completely change the experience of listening, speaking and understanding. Agentic AI designed to work for users will provide a new desktop experience.
In Windows 2030 Vision and AI Integration Video Weston said that “I am fully confident that the future versions of Windows and other Microsoft operating systems will interact in a multimodal manner. The computer will see what we see, what we will listen to and we will be able to talk to him and we will say to do better.” After this, traditional input methods like mouse and keyboard will look strange.
Weston has suggested a future where the AI is joining the operating system, which users can interact through natural language and many input modes, in which AI manages workflows and tasks. After this, users will speak to the computer that the email will open. To shift a file from one folder to another, it will only work with the gesture of the fingers.
