Violation of environmental regulations

It was clearly written in the notice that under the Wales Studio ‘Green Category’, it is running as an amazing park. But he has no legitimate permission of KSPCB. The board ordered that the operation of the studio should be stopped immediately and reply to environmental violations should also be presented. According to KSPCB, Wales Studio Entertainment Private Limited falls under the green category as an amusement park, but it was operating without legitimate permission. The notice states that the studio was unauthorizedly disposing of water of waste and sewage treatment plant (STP), causing pollution in Bidadi area.

The board received many serious flaws during inspection

– There was no systematic disposal of solid waste such as plastic cups, paper plates and other disposable materials.
– Sewage treatment plant (STP) was not operating properly nor was there any record of waste water management.
– Two diesel generator sets (625 kVA and 500 kVA capacity) were found to be violating environmental standards.

‘No one above the law’

Forest, Environment and Ecology Minister Ishwar Khandre of Karnataka confirmed that the studio was issued a notice in March 2024, but was ignored. He said, “We got information that the studio has not taken necessary licenses under the Water Act and Air Act.” The minister also stated that the studio was running as a ‘amusement park’ without permission, which is a violation of the orders of the Supreme Court and the National Green Tribunal (NGT). Ishwar Khandre said in a strict tone, ‘There is no one above the law. We are only performing our duty and everyone has to respect the law of this country. However, he also said that the studio can appeal to the court, but legal action will continue.

Crisis on the future of the show

This is the twelfth season of Bigg Boss Kannada, which produces Banjay Entertainment acquired by Endemol Shine India. After this action, the possibility of suspension of this season of the show has increased.
