The differences between famous South Cinema director AR Murugadoss and Salman Khan have come to the fore. On the stage of ‘Bigg Boss 19’, Bhaijaan took a dig at AR Murugadoss on the flop of the film ‘Madrasi’, who considered Salman Khan to be the reason for the flop of the film ‘Sikandar’. He had made some allegations against Salman Khan, to which he replied in ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ of ‘Bigg Boss 19’.

New Delhi: Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’ was released in the year 2020 under the direction of AR Murugadoss. The film did not get great success. After 4 years, AR Murugadoss directed the Hindi film ‘Sikander’. In the film, Salman Khan played the lead role and Rashmika played the heroine. The film ‘Sikander’ received negative reviews and failed at the box office. Made on a budget of Rs 200 crore, the film earned more than Rs 150 crore. Salman Khan has now reacted on this, the reason for which is the statement of director AR Murugadoss.

Director AR Murugadoss had given clarification in an interview on the reasons for the failure of the film. He had said, ‘There were many problems during the shooting of Sikandar. Due to the threats Salman Khan was receiving, shooting could not be done during the day. Shooting could take place only at night. Even the day scenes had to be shot at night. Everything had to be done on computer graphics and green screen.

The director accused Salman Khan of coming late. He said, ‘He used to come late for shooting. What could have been done? But the story of this film was close to my heart. The statement was much discussed. Salman Khan was cited as a major reason for Sikandar’s failure.

After Sikandar, AR Murugadoss directed the film ‘Madrasi’. Sivakarthikeyan starrer film released on 5 September. The film received mixed reactions from the audience. Rukmini Vasanth played the heroine role in the film and the music was composed by Anirudh.

Salman Khan has responded to the failure of ‘Sikandar’ and AR Murugadoss’s allegations. In ‘Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar, when comedian Ravi Gupta asked Salman Khan about the films which he regrets doing, he took the names of ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Nishchay’. He said, ‘There is no one in the new one. People say Alexander, but I don’t believe. Its plot was very good.

Salman Khan again said on the allegations of director AR Murugadoss being late, ‘But what, I used to reach the set at 9 pm, so it got messed up. My ribs were broken. A picture of its director Saheb has just been released, in which the actor used to reach at 6 o’clock. Earlier this picture was of Murugadoss and Sajid Nadiadwala. Later, first Sajid left and Murugadoss then went straight to the South for the movie.

Salman Khan took a dig by mentioning AR Murugadoss’s other releases. He said, ‘He has directed a Madrasi picture. It is a very big film and an equally big blockbuster…a bigger blockbuster than Sikandar. After the release of Sikandar, Murugadoss talked about the challenges of the film. He had said, ‘It is not easy to shoot with a star. We also had to shoot the day scenes at night, because they used to reach the set at 8 pm. We are used to shooting early in the morning, but this is how things work there.

AR Murugadoss had said that other actors were affected due to Salman Khan’s schedule. According to the report of News18 English, he said, ‘If there were four children in the scene, we would have had to shoot with them at 2 pm. Even if that shot is of his returning from school. They would get tired by then. Admitting his mistake, he said, ‘The story was emotional, but I could not execute it properly.’

The story of the film ‘Sikandar’ is about the king of Rajkot, Sanjay Rajkot (Salman), who is also famous by the name of Sikandar. After the death of his wife Saishri (Rashmika Mandanna), he sets out to save three people in Mumbai who have received his wife’s donated organs. He also faces danger from an opposing politician.
