Sonam Bajwa says, ‘I said no to some things in Bollywood because I was wondering, will Punjab accept it? We have this mindset that the family will watch it… I was very scared of doing a kissing scene in the film at that time, because I thought, ‘How will people react after seeing it? How will those who created me react to this? Will my family understand that this is for the film? I had all these questions in my mind.

Sonam Bajwa was insecure about her image

Sonam Bajwa, famous for her work in Punjabi films, says that she had become insecure about her image. She did not want to spoil the years of hard work and the image she had built. She did not want to offend the audience of Punjab because of Bollywood films. The actress further says that her parents had supported her a lot in this matter.

Sonam told that after talking to her parents, her perspective completely changed. She says, this happened a few years ago, and I talked to my parents about it. They said, ‘Yes, if it is for the film, then it is fine’. And I was very shocked. Why didn’t I talk to him earlier? We assume so many things in our mind. I was too embarrassed to talk to my parents about it, and they were like, ‘No problem, it’s for the film, no problem.’
