Amitabh Bachchan Rekha Infamous Fight: When rumors of Rekha’s affair with Amitabh Bachchan were rife, Rekha was displeased with Amitabh Bachchan’s closeness with a heroine. It is said that Rekha had a fight on the set. She cried a lot that day on the sets of the film ‘Laawaris’ and had decided to leave her next film ‘Silsila’ with Big B.

Writer Yasir Usman, who has written Rekha’s autobiography ‘Rekha: The Untold Story’, has mentioned many incidents in the book. It is told in ‘Rekha: The Untold Story’ that Prakash Mehra had himself witnessed this fight. He said, ‘This happened on my set at Natraj Studio. There was a heated argument between Rekha and Amitabh. Amitabh remained in ‘Silsila’, Padmini Kolhapure was selected to play the ‘female lead’ and Poonam Dhillon was being considered for the role of the wife which ultimately went to Jaya Bachchan. However, all this did not seem right to Yash Chopra. The basic idea of the film was falling apart.
