My father, Wing Commander LK Dutt (Retd), was a brave soldier of the Indian Air Force, who displayed indomitable courage in the wars of 1965 and 1971 and received the ‘Bar Gallantry Award’ for gallantry. My sister Squadron Leader Sherly Dutt was part of the first group of first female helicopter pilots in the Indian Air Force. “Flying is in our blood.”
