Mumbai. Former Miss Universe and actress Lara Dutta expressed her deep gratitude and pride towards the Indian Air Force on the occasion of the 93rd Air Force Day. She shared an emotional post on social media and remembered her family’s wonderful heritage related to flying and the Air Force. Lara said that her roots have always been connected with the Indian Armed Forces and it is a matter of pride for her. Lara posted a picture on Instagram and wrote, “I come from a family where the passion for flying has been going on for generations.”

Lara Dutta further wrote, “My grandfather, Chandra Kishore Dutt, was a pilot with the British Overseas Airways Corporation (later British Airways). My father, Wing Commander LK Dutt (Retd), was a brave soldier of the Indian Air Force, who displayed indomitable courage in the wars of 1965 and 1971 and received the ‘Bar Gallantry Award’ for gallantry. My sister Squadron Leader Sherly Dutt was part of the first group of first female helicopter pilots in the Indian Air Force. “Flying is in our blood.”
