Talking further about daughter-in-law Gauhar Khan’s career, Ismail says, ‘All I know is that her relationship with Zaid is very good and she is a great mother. There is no harm in talking honestly about this. He further said, ‘However, the biggest thing about my wife Ayesha was that she had stopped working for her child.’

The music composer further says that at that time, his wife Ayesha was getting Rs 5 lakh per month and she was also getting acting offers, but she put her career on hold for the sake of her family. He further says that even when he was not earning money and his entire family was struggling, his wife never worked.
Didn’t watch daughter-in-law Gauhar’s movies due to fear of intimate scenes
Ismail Darbar further says that till date he has never seen any film of his daughter-in-law Gauhar Khan. He says, ‘Look, I come from a backward family. Whenever there was any insensitive scene or any intimate scene in any film, we used to look away. Even today the same thing happens in our house. Gauhar is now a part of our family, her reputation is our responsibility.
He further says about this, ‘Although I cannot stop him from working; This right belongs only to Zaid. That’s why I don’t indulge in activities that might upset me. I don’t twist my words. I know I won’t be able to bear what I see, and if I can’t bear it, I will tell him.’
