Yash Chopra introduced Switzerland litigants with white sarees and romantic songs of actresses in such a way that the place for the people of India began to look like a dream. He filmed the icy mountains and quiet lakes there so beautifully that the government of Switzerland also became convinced. Giving them respect, the government made a road named after him. A special train ‘Yash Chopra Express’ was run and a 250 kg bronze statue was installed in Interlaken, which is still present there. The impact of this success of Yash Raj was not limited to films only. He founded Yash Raj Films in 1973, which has become the largest and prestigious production company of Hindi cinema today. His son Aditya Chopra carried forward this legacy and made an iconic film like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. Yash Chopra received many honors for his contribution to cinema. He was awarded six National Awards and eight Filmfare Awards. In 2001, he received the highest honor of Indian cinema ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Award’ and was also awarded ‘Padma Bhushan’ in 2005.
