Recently, Lirisist-Director Sudhakar Sharma said that despite his career being on peak, Hema Malini said yes to work in her film, while he was directing for the first time. Not only this, he also reduced his fees.

During the interview on YouTube channel Laughing Colors, Sudhakar Sharma said that he was quite nervous about talking to Hema Malini for the film, as he was directing for the first time. He contacted Dharmendra’s brother Ajit Singh Deol. Hema Malini liked the story of the film and also said yes to work, but she was confused about working with the new director. But Sudhakar celebrated him through a strong script of the film. However, after this, another problem came to light when he realized that he could not afford Hema’s fees.

Hema Malini’s fees were doubled from the budget

Sudhakar Sharma said, ‘His fees were doubled from the entire budget of my film. I told them what I can give. He told me that you do not have money, you are new and your producer is also new. Give me the time to think. He said to come back after two days. But I felt that this was just an excuse to postpone, so I told him that you should shoot three days, then decide by looking at Rush print. If you do not like my work, then I will leave the film myself. Then keep me an assistant director so that my children do not come on the road.

Ready to work for low fees

He further said, ‘Hema ji told me that even though I am charging fees, but the agreement is made at their real fees, so that later she can give me a letter, which has written that she had waived her fees.’ Sudhakar Sharma also told that Hema told her that she would not come on the set before 12 noon, because she had to leave her daughter to leave college.

Clothing your own clothes during shooting

When the initial rusions of the shooting were seen, Sudhakar Sharma realized that she was not able to give Hema Malini, due to which she did not look as glamorous in the film, but Hema also solved this problem herself, she agreed to wear her own clothes in the film.

Hema Malini’s movie could not be released

Sudhakar Sharma further said, ‘He wore his own outfits for the film, because we did not have a budget. But the shooting of the film stopped almost a week before the shooting was over. Hema ji offered to waive her full fees, but that film could never be completed nor could it be released.
