New Delhi: The sequel to ‘Life in a Metro’ was released on July 4. Anurag Basu’s film desired the expectations of Critics. It includes stars like Saif Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi. Despite a good review, the film could not perform as expected at the box office. However, it is expected to perform better in weekends.

Through the film, Anurag Basu has tried to show the Modern Love Story, in which he has been successful to a great extent. According to the report by Second, the film has earned around Rs 3.35 crore (India Net Collection) on the first day. ‘Metro these days is being told the spriyal sequel of’ Life in a Metro ‘in the year 2007. The original film earned Rs 80 lakh on the day of release, although it was a sleeper hit with a life time collection (Rs 24 crore). The curiosity in the audience looked normal about the sequel, due to which his attachment and film stars from the original film. Given the ‘Occupancy Rate’ in theaters, the audience’s reaction on the film was slow.

‘Occupancy rate’ below expectation

The ‘occupancy rate’ in theaters across the country was about 12.72 percent. The ‘occupancy rate’ in day shows was about 8.64 per cent, compared to Evening shows (17.99 per cent). According to media reports, the most enthusiasm about the film was seen in Chennai, where the occupancy rate was about 41 percent. 28.33 per cent in Bengaluru, while in Kolkata, the occupancy rate was 18.33 per cent. The number of spectators on weekends may increase.
