Apple Planning 7 XR Ar devices Vision Air Smart Glass Launch 2027 Pro 2 in 2028 Roadmap Reveled

Apple is preparing to play a big game with its XR headset and smart glasses in the coming years. Famous supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has stated in its new report that the company is planning to launch a total of 7 head-mounted devices between 2025 and 2028, including three Vision Series headsets and four different smart glasses. According to the report, smart glasses can become Apple’s next mainstream category, just as the iPhone and Apple Watch did something.

In medium Publisher The Hua Kuo report states that Apple will launch a new Vision Pro with M5 chip in the third quarter of 2025 this year. The specifications will remain the same as before, but the processor will be upgraded. The company is carrying a target to ship 1.5-2 lakh units. Apple in 2026 will not bring a new XR product, and this year will be worked on technology and design.

It is further reported that the biggest shift will be seen in the beginning of 2027, when Apple will launch its first Smart Glasses. These will be display-free but will be equipped with voice control, gesture recognition, camera, video recording, music playback and AI. His look will be like glasses like Ray-Ban. According to Kuo, this product will play the same role for Apple that AirPods do Thas i.e. new user base.

Along with this, Apple will also launch a new, light and cheap Vision Air in 2027 itself. Its weight will reportly be reduced by 40% than Vision Pro and will be given the iPhone-class chip. In the design, plastic and magnesium alloy will be used instead of glass so that the device becomes more lightweight.

The report further states that the second half of 2028 will bring the second-generation model of Apple Vision Pro, which will have a completely new design, Mac-class chip and light body structure. In the same year, the company will also bring XR Glasses which will be equipped with a display and user interface can be controlled with gesture.

It is worth noting that the company was also going to bring a display accessory for an iPhone/MAC in 2026, but the project has been stopped at the moment as Apple is now reading it.

According to Kuo, Apple’s focus is now very clear about smart glasses. The Vision Pro series will remain in the premium segment, while after 2027 the company will move towards more consumer-friendly and wearable form factor.
