Although Anurag Basu has not presented the film ‘Metro… these days’ as a sequel to ‘Life in a… Metro’, but the story of the film will definitely give you memories of 18 years ago. The kind of music that was in ‘Life in a… Metro’, similarly music has been prepared for ‘Metro… these days’ and this time also the music of the film has been prepared by Pritam, who is working closely with Anurag Basu after ‘Life in A… Metro’. Also, Anupam Kher and Aditya Roy Kapoor have sung one song each for the film.

Konkona Sen Sharma has been retained from the original film. Anurag Basu, after appearing simultaneously in Netflix original Ludo (2020), once again cast Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Fatima Sana Sheikh. Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta were taken in other lead roles. Let me tell you, Anurag has made the film in a brilliant way this time and there is no doubt that my eyes have been successful again. This time the film is also a bit long.

The story of the film revolves around Shivani (Nina Gupta) and Sanjeev (Shashwat Chatterjee) living in Kolkata, their two daughters daughter Kajol (Konkona Sen Sharma) and younger daughter Chumki (Sara Ali Khan) and those associated with them. Actually, Kajol (Konkona Sen Sharma) has been living a married life with her husband Munty (Pankaj Tripathi) for the last 19 years, but it seems when it looks from outside… The truth is that the life of these two is not perfect.

At the same time, Shivani’s younger daughter Chumki is 15 years old and works as HR in a private company, where she likes one of her kalig and both are going to get engaged, but in the meantime she meets a travel Blagar Partha (Aditya Rai Kapoor), after which the closer between the two starts growing. It also shows a story of Parth’s friend Akash (Ali Fazal), who wants to make a career as a musician, but he does not reach his place due to marriage to her girlfriend Shruti (Fatima Sana Sheikh) and family responsibilities.

On the other hand, Shivani also had some dreams before marriage, which remained burdened with responsibilities after marriage, but one day he meets her ex boyfriend Parimal (Anupam Kher) and then shown to resolve relationships in the film. Now, if we talk about acting, then from Anupam Kher to Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Sheikh and Shashwat Chatterjee… all have performed brilliant acting and everyone’s hard work is clearly visible in this film.

Although the first half of the film is a little slow, but by the second half, the film succeeds in catching its pace. In this era of social media, there has been so much change in love and relationships, it was seen in this film. Overall, you can watch this film by going to theaters with family. I have 3.5 out of 5 stars this film.
