क्यों अचानक रुक गया Sacred Games का तीसरा सीजन? अनुराग कश्यप ने किया बड़ा खुलासा, नेटफ्लिक्स पर साधा निशाना
Mumbai : When Netflix started its first original content with Sacred Games in India, it was considered a major decision. In this thriller series, there were stars like Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui and it was directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap. The show was based on Vikram Chandra’s novel and bold content was considered in India’s OTT space.
He said- I had high expectations about our first show ‘Sacred Games’. This was a big show as a film which had film stars. But what we did not understand was that we were launching a completely new entertainment form in a big country like India.
Perhaps it would be right to make popular content in the beginning – Sarandos
Ted Sarandos also believed that if he had a chance again, he would probably start with some more popular content in the beginning. If I could do it again, Sacred Games would have done after a few years and started with some more popular things.
Although he also added that India is a big market and the process of reaching there may be slow, but in the end its advantage is very big.
Why did the third season not come?
He said- Vikram Motwane was leading the series. I was asked 10 days ago that I should join it. I had already said that I was interested, but Netflix had problems with me. Someone had said that women do not like my films.
Anurag Kashyap’s anger exploded on social media
After praising his film Adolescence, Anurag Kashyap wrote on social media targeting Netflix India- If this film was shown to Netflix India, then perhaps he would refuse it or make it a 90-minute film and that too probably because its ending is not straightforward. ‘
Netflix learning in India
Sacred Games may be a courageous step in the world of content, but its experience helped Netflix to understand the Indian market better. Now the company is preparing content by understanding the local test with more focus.
