Recently, Netflix’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos interacted in the podcast of Nikil Kamath and admitted that perhaps the company started with more bold content in India very soon.

He said- I had high expectations about our first show ‘Sacred Games’. This was a big show as a film which had film stars. But what we did not understand was that we were launching a completely new entertainment form in a big country like India.

Ted Sarandos also believed that if he had a chance again, he would probably start with some more popular content in the beginning. If I could do it again, Sacred Games would have done after a few years and started with some more popular things.

Although he also added that India is a big market and the process of reaching there may be slow, but in the end its advantage is very big.
