Directed by V Ravichandran, the budget of this film was 10 crores. Along with the direction of ‘Shanti-Kranti’, V. Ravichandran also wrote and produced it. V Ravichandran himself played the lead role in the Kannada version of the film. At the same time, Nagarjuna in Lugu and Rajinikanth in Tamil and Hindi were in lead roles.

The director had shed a lot of money for the film

According to the claims made in these reports, the film director had rented 50 acres of vacant land for the climax and also shed a lot of money on the grand sets. It took many years to prepare this film, which was prepared at a grand level. Shooting of ‘Shanti-Kranti’ started in the year 1988 and the film was released in theaters in 1991.

The cost was not collected
Talking about the earnings of the film, Rajinikanth and Juhi Chawla starred at the film box-office. The film had recorded a lifetime collection of just 8 crore rupees, which was less than the budget of 10 crores. Could not remove the cost at the box-office, after this film, director V Ravichandran’s bankruptcy came out. He had earned his life on this film, but when the film flopped, the directors were very disappointed. However, he never lost courage nor left cinema.
