First film and gross of 51 rupees
Dharmendra was given a chance to work in his first film ‘Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere’ by director Arjun Hingorani. Once, while sharing this story in the show ‘Dance Deewane’, Dharmendra said that he felt that he would get a signing amount of Rs 5,000. But on the set, three people together withdrew Rs 17-17 from their pocket and they were given a total of Rs 51.
They consider the first fee as ‘Lucky Money’
