She went to America with her husband and started focusing on the family. He gave birth to a son in 1963. In 1977, a classical dance school opened in New Jersey, named ‘Padmini School of Arts’. Today, this school is counted as America’s largest classical dance institution. Padmini breathed his last in Chennai on 24 September 2006.
