Mohammad Javed, accused in Kanhaiyalal murder case, also filed a petition. The lawyer said in the argument that the film is going to be released on Friday 11 July, which may affect the trial. The Supreme Court said in response that let the film be released, keep the matter before the court concerned. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has filed petitions in the High Court of Delhi, Maharashtra and Gujarat, seeking to stop the release of the film and cancel the certification given by the censor board.
The film ‘Udaipur files’ has been produced by Amit Jani, in which Vijay Raj has played the role of Kanhaiyalal. Rajneesh Duggal, Kamlesh Sawant, Kanchi Singh and Mushtaq Khan have worked in the film. When India Srinet was asked whether the censor board had asked the film to remove any scene, he said, ‘He made 150 cuts in my film. We circled the sensor board for about 2 months. A section is considering the film as against Muslim religion, but it is about ideology and truth.
The film has not been released, but people are speculating about it. The director said that those who are opposing the film cannot decide whether it should be released or not. The petition against the release of the film states that the film can promote religious violence in the country.
It will be heard on 10 July
The objectionable parts have been removed from the film The ‘Udaipur Files’. CBFC has informed the Delhi High Court. Now on July 10, the hearing will continue in the Delhi High Court. During the hearing of PILs filed on the film ‘Udaipur files’ in the Delhi High Court, the Censor Board (CBFC) has said that all objectionable parts have been cut off from the film. In fact, on July 9, the Delhi High Court also heard a hearing.
