Nandamuri Tarak Ram Rao (NTR) is the name mentioned in golden letters in the history of Telugu cinema. He was not just an actor, but was one of those veterans who gave Telugu cinema a distinct identity and respect.

Nandamuri Tarak Ram Rao (NTR) spread its glow on the silver screen of Telugu cinema. His every step, every film, every role left his indelible impression as an ideal in the hearts of Telugu people.

From mythological characters to the stories of folk heroes, from the common man to the emperors, he made every character alive and became a favorite of the people. Not only as an actor, NTR also made his mark in the field of politics. He entered politics with the desire to serve the people and became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh twice with incredible popularity.

He launched many welfare schemes in the Telugu state and settled in the hearts of the people. Schemes like two rupee kg rice scheme and Janata Vastralo brought light into the lives of the poor. He was a rare leader who was not a ruler but a servant of the people. Another interesting aspect of NTR’s life is his love affair in his personal life. Before coming to the cinema, he married his daughter -in -law Basavatarakam.

This couple had not one or two but a dozen children. After a long married life, when the children grew up, NTR fell in love with another woman. The then star heroine Krishnakumari of the time increased her closeness. Tarak Ram Rao did many films with Krishnakumari and it is said that he has shared the screen with Krishnakumari more than heroines like Savitri. Especially the distance between NTR living in Madras and Basavatarakam living in Hyderabad brought NTR closer to Krishnakumari.

The closeness between the two increased so much that Rama Rao had decided to marry Krishnakumari. Not only this, he also made preparations for marriage secretly. Rama Rao told his younger brother, producer Trivikram Rao about this and he was shocked to know this. He felt that something bad was going to happen, so he quickly left for Madras. On reaching there, he reached Krishnakumari’s house directly and threatened him.

Trivikram Rao told Krishnakumari that the entire Andhra Pradesh sees NTR like Lord Ram and worships him so much that if people know that they are getting married for the second time, then people will be shocked and the reputation of NTR will be ruined.

In addition, he warned at the tip of the gun with him. Krishnakumari was very scared of this incident and immediately moved from Chennai to Bengaluru. In this way, with the intervention of his younger brother Trivikram Rao, NTR could not get a second marriage.

Senior journalist Immandi Rama Rao revealed in an interview that it happened without the knowledge of Basavatarakam, the first wife of NTR. NTR has a wonderful book full of many turns, successes and tragedies in the fields of life, cinema, politics and personal life. Even if they are not here, they will always be in the hearts of the Telugu people.
