In a recent interview, Ali spoke openly about the discrimination with him while searching for a house in the city, in which he revealed the biased with him due to being a Kashmiri Muslim.

Talking on the incrucket podcast, Ali told how he was repeatedly rejected by the landlords despite being a well-known face in the entertainment industry. He told, ‘I never had to face discrimination in the industry due to being a Kashmiri. However, I had to face it a lot while searching for the house and still happens today. Jasmine and I were looking for a house, but many people refused to say, ‘We do not give Muslims home.’ Most of them were elderly people.

While Shrobiz has adopted him on a large scale. Ali admitted that finding a house was a bitter truth here which he had to face. He said that despite increasing success, some social obstacles still remain. The actor of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein also considered his journey in the industry and the challenges faced by young actors. Accepting his struggle, Ali gave the credit of his career progress to the strong support from the interiors of the industry.

He said, ‘There is a struggle. It is everywhere, but we are very disappointed in Shrobij. From audition process to casting in the show, we had to face many challenges. Nowadays, due to social media, people become famous by making reel. Sometimes we used to doubt ourselves when the casting director refused to cast us in the project citing some vague reasons. Young actors do not know what the audition is. I got support from the people of the industry. Especially, Ekta Kapoor has kept me in every possible show of Balaji. The struggle is never going to end. Currently, Ellie is participating in Laughter Chefs 2. As far as his personal life is concerned, he and Jasmine are living together, but there is no idea about marriage right now.
