सुशांत केस में जेल से जमानत मिलने पर रिया ने किया ‘नागिन डांस’, बोलीं- ‘वो पल जिंदगी भर याद रहेगा…’

New Delhi. After the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood actress Riya Chakraborty made headlines overnight. Sushant’s family made several serious allegations against Riya Chakraborty. Along with the Sushant case, he also stuck in the drug case in those days and he spent 28 days in jail amid these allegations. His life completely changed while in jail. It is difficult for their family to forget those days. The actress recently told that she performed the serpent dance in jail.

Riya Chakraborty recently spoke to NDTV and shared the memories of his jail and the deep impact on the family. He told that in 28 days spent in jail, he understood the importance of human relationships with co-prisoners and performed ‘Naagin Dance’ for him on getting a bell.

Riya stayed in jail for about 28 days after Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) action in September 2020. He said, ‘When the news of my bail came in jail, the prisoners asked me to dance. I thought, might never be able to meet them again. If I can give them happiness of a moment then why not. So I danced Nagin.

The family had a deep impact

Riya admitted that this case was very heavy not only for her but also for her family. He said, ‘People used to say that they are not because of you. I knew I did not do anything wrong. But even when the CBI gave a clean chit, I could not be happy. Happiness was just that my parents’ respect was saved. But we are no longer a careal family like before.

After Sushant’s death, Riya was shocked. Riya said that she was not even given a chance to persuade Sushant’s death. He said, ‘Everyone used to think that only they were unhappy and forgot that the person who was closest to them faced the biggest loss.’ However, now Riya says that she has got a closure and has moved forward.

What is Sushant Singh Rajput case

On 14 June 2020, 34 -year -old actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai house. After this there was a sensation in the whole country. Sushant’s father had filed a case of abetment to suicide against Riya. The case reached ED, NCB and then CBI. The NCB arrested Riya and her brother Shvik in September 2020 accusing Sushant of supplying Marijuana. However, the Bombay High Court rejected this principle of NCB and granted bail to Riya. In March 2025, the CBI in its closure report described Sushant’s death as a suicide and freed Riya from all the allegations.
