After the initial schedule in Hyderabad, the team now moved to Odisha, where the film’s lead actress Priyanka Chopra also attended the shooting.

Earlier this year, there was speculation that Nana Patekar has been selected for an important role in the film. According to reports, a look test was also done for Nana Patekar and he was to play the role of Mahesh Babu’s father in the film. But it seems that there is no truth in this story.

Nana Patekar was offered role

News18 Shosha contacted Nana Patekar about this, so he just said- no. However, some time ago a source told that the director of ‘RRR’ and ‘Bahubali’ contacted Nana Patekar last year, but he politely turned down the offer. The reason was that he did not like this role.

Rajamouli heard Nana script

Source told that ‘SS Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra were extremely excited to cast Nana Patekar in an important role in the film being made. The director went to recite the script from Hyderabad to Patekar’s farmhouse in Pune. There was also a conversation between the two about the inputs, but then Nana Patekar said that this role is not the same as he wants to do.

Nana Patekar was getting a hefty amount

However, Nana Patekar expressed his desire in working with SS Rajamouli in future. Source further stated that the makers of SSMB29 had offered Nana Patekar a huge amount for this role, which had to be given about 2 weeks to shoot.

Source further said, ‘The amount offered to Nana Patekar was about 20 crores and he had to shoot only about 15 days. But he felt that this role is not such that he could throw himself completely. However, when Nana Patekar was contacted about the matter, he denied that he had received a proposal or he had rejected it.

Priyanka will return to Indian cinema

Priyanka Chopra is returning to Indian cinema with Mahesh Babu’s most awaited film SSMB29, which is happening after ‘The White Tiger’ released in 2021. Its story is written by V, Vijayendra Prasad, father of SS Rajamouli. After forming this movie will be released in theaters in the year 2027. It is being told that SSMB29 has taken the record of India’s most expensive film with 1000 crore budget.

Rajamouli will also make a film on Dadasaheb

Talking about the work front of SS Rajamouli, he will start shooting for ‘Made in India’ after SSMB29, which will be a pan-Indian film based on the life of Indian cinema’s father Dadasaheb Phalke. Junior NTR has been selected to play the lead role in this film.
