New Delhi. There are many success stories in Bollywood, but this journey of a middle class boy is different. The father’s strictness in the house and collected money by singing in the train. When this star decided to become a hero, the big banner rejected. But this boy became a superstar on the basis of courage, talent and passion. Today, he is going to be a part of not only the star of the 100 crore club, but a 1200 crore horror-comedy universe. This actor became a superstar from Struggler, none other than Ayushman Khurana.
A middle-class boy coming from Chandigarh not only achieved the status of A-Lister Star, but also made his own identity. Ayushmann Khurrana won the hearts of the audience with films based on social issues and is now going to step into the Madock Horror-Comedy Universe. Ayushmann Khurrana achieved not only critical but commercial success from films like ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Article 15’, ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, ‘Badhaai Ho’, ‘Andhadhun’ and ‘An Action Hero’. During college days, Ayushman used to earn money by singing a song in trains with his friends, so that he could fund his trips. During the promotion of his film ‘Meri Pyari Bindu’ in 2017, Ayushmann shared this story. He said, ‘I tell how we used to perform in trains. During college days, in the ‘West Express’ train going from Delhi to Mumbai, my friends and my friends used to sing and perform in every coach. Passengers used to give us money, which we used to collect. Used to get so much money that we used to sponsor our Goa Trip! Yes, you can say that I am a train singer. Another challenge in Ayushman’s life was his father’s strictness. In the ‘Anestally Sehing’ podcast, he revealed that his father was a ‘dictator’ and was beaten with slippers, belts as a child. Ayushmann had said, ‘My father was a dictator. It was common to be beaten with slippers, belts and was definitely a childhood trauma. One day I returned from the party, the smell of cigarette was coming from my shirt. I had never touched cigarettes due to fear of my father, but still I was beaten. When Ayushman was 16 years old, he fell in love. In Kapil Sharma’s show, he revealed his lovestory with Tahira Kashyap. The actor had told that he met him during the board exam on 12th and fell in love. He had told, but as soon as he won Roadies and started getting stardom, he broke up with Tahira. On ‘Koffee with Karan’ in 2018, Ayushman had told that he tried to meet Karan Johar in the initial days. Karan gave him a landline number. When he called on him, the reception received the answer- ‘We do not take an audition of outsiders and newcomers.’ Till date, Ayushmann has not become a part of any Dharma production film, but with his films, he proved many times at the box office that the real talent is recognized together. The last four films of this universe- ‘Stree’, ‘Wolf’, ‘Munjya’ and ‘Stree 2’ have grossed more than Rs 1200 crore at the global box office, in which ‘Stree 2’ became the biggest Bollywood hit of 2024. Rashmanika Mandana, Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are in the lead roles with Ayushmann in ‘Thama’.
