New DelhiJaved Akhtar, the famous lyricist and writer of Hindi cinema, has expressed his views about Diljit Dosanjh’s film ‘Sardar Ji 3’. He says that because of this film, the money of Hindustani will not be drowned, not the Pakistani man.
During the conversation on the Creators Forum of NDTV, Javed Akhtar said in clear words that India will be harmed by banning the film and not Pakistan. He said, ‘What should the poor thing do now? The film was already shot. What did he know that an incident would happen later. In this, the money of the Pakistani man will not be drowned, Hindustani will drown. Then what is the benefit of banning like this? He further said that the government and the censor board should see the matter with understanding and a little softness.
Talking about his point, Javed Akhtar said, ‘He should just say that this should not happen next time, but when the film has already been made, it should be released. Yes, such things should not happen again from the future. The film Sardar ji has been released worldwide today i.e. June 27, but in India it has not been released in theater yet. Ever since the trailer of the film came, the audience and some people of the industry have expressed their displeasure over the casting of the Pakistani actress in it.
Let us know that in this case the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has sent a tough letter to filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. He said that Imtiaz should end his relationship with Diljit Dosanjh. It is reported that Imtiaz is making a film on the 2026 Baisakhi along with Diljit, including Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari and Vedang Raina. FWICE wrote in his letter, ‘This was not expected from the director who made a film on social issues like you. Your such step will send a wrong message to the audience. Now this reaction of Javed Akhtar has put forward a new perspective, in which he has given attention to the economic loss on the film.
