Recently he reached Delhi, where he talked about his father Dharmendra’s health, old memories and his family’s relationship with late actor Manoj Kumar. A few days ago, Dharmendra was seen blindfolded outside the hospital, causing fans a bit upset. When Sunny was asked about this, he said, “Papa is perfectly fine. It was just a modest deed operation. There is nothing to worry about.” He made it clear that Dharmendra is now completely healthy and active as before.

Relationships and old memories with Manoj Kumar

Sunny Deol also paid homage to Manoj Kumar on this occasion. He said, “Manoj ji and my dad came together in the industry. Their relationship was very deep. I was a habit to see Manoj ji with my father since childhood. He was the same as a father for us.” He also said that Manoj Kumar’s patriotic films started a new stream in Hindi cinema.

Example of friendship

While sharing a heart touching anecdote, Sunny Deol said that when his father and Manoj Kumar were struggling in the initial days, both did not have money. “Dad told me that whenever Manoj ji had some money, and he would go to buy clothes, then he would say to Papa – ‘Come Dharam, you take too, take the shirts’ His mutual relationship was so intimate.”
