Today is the death anniversary of Indian cinema veteran actress Nargis i.e. Saturday. He gave many hit films in Hindi cinema including ‘Mother India’, ‘Barsaat’, ‘Andaz’, ‘Awara’, ‘Sri 420’, ‘Chori-Chori’, ‘Aag’. His films are still popular among the audience. He died in 1981 due to cancer. On the death anniversary, his son and actor Sanjay Dutt remembered the mother and wrote a heart touching note while sharing the pictures.

According to this book, a real fire was set on the set to shoot a scene in the film ‘Mother India’. This fire occurs in a pile of straw, in which Nargis has to jump. Sunil Dutt goes to save him, who became his son in the film. However, suddenly the fire becomes uncontrollable and the shoot turns into an accident and its flames start touching Nargis. Everyone starts retreating due to fear. But Sunil Dutt takes him out safely regardless of his life. During this time, he himself was also badly burnt. After this incident, Nargis’s attitude changed and he saw a true life partner in Sunil. Both got married on 11 March 1958.
