New Delhi. Bollywood’s famous actor Sanjay Dutt visited the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh on Thursday morning. He took part in the famous Bhasma Aarti and took blessings from Lord Shiva. Sitting in the Nandi hall of the temple, Sanjay Dutt saw the aarti with full legal practice and was absorbed in devotion to Lord Mahakal. The video of Sanjay Dutt, who reached the temple, is also going viral on social media, in which he is seen enjoying the spiritual atmosphere.

After visiting the temple, Sanjay Dutt said, ‘It is my good fortune that Baba Mahakal called me. I was trying to come here for many years. Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is one of the 12 holy Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. This temple is located in the city of Ujjain, which is counted among the ancient religious places in India. It is believed that the Shivling located here is self -proclaimed, that is, this Shivling itself has appeared from the earth. It is different from other Jyotirlingas in the sense that Shiva’s energy is generated from within, while in other places Shivling is duly established with mantras and worship.

The most special and famous puja of Mahakaleshwar Temple is considered ‘Bhasma Aarti’, which is performed in a special way every morning. There are a total of two Jyotirlingas in Madhya Pradesh, Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar. Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga is located about 140 km from Mahakaleshwar. Both places are considered very holy and important for Shiva devotees.
