Dharmendra recently talked about this. On the occasion of the completion of 50 years of Sholay, Dharmendra recently spoke to ‘Indian Express’ and named his favorite film. Dharmendra told that he never thought that ‘Sholay’ would prove to be such a big hit.

Dharmendra spoke about the immense success of this conversation ‘Sholay’. During this, he also talked about his co-star Sanjeev Kumar. Describing Sanjeev Kumar as extraordinary, he said- whether humans and actor were extraordinary in every case. Recalling Dharmendra said that I had the privilege of working with him in another extraordinary film ‘Satyakam’, in which we played the role of friends.

Dharmendra further says in the conversation, ‘I tell one thing. In 1975, just two months before ‘Sholay’, I was released another one, which no one is talking about. I like Dulal Guha’s pledge the most because it was a really difficult role. I had to play the role of a truck driver. Who takes disguise of a policeman. It was like playing another role inside a role. It had a lot of emotions, drama. There was a deep flow of emotions in it. ‘Sholay’, ‘Satyakam’ is one of my favorite films, but pledge is my favorite.

Despite a competition with ‘Sholay’, ‘Pledge’ was a superhit. He further said- ‘Just like 1971,’ Jab Mera Gaon Mera Desh ‘despite the blockbuster was successful. He was very different films.
