Jagdeep was born in Datia, Madhya Pradesh. He was born on 29 March 1939 in a rich family. Javed Jaffrey himself had once told this while talking about his family background. In fact, in a conversation with Rediff in the year 2021, Javed Jaffrey had said, Jagdeep’s father used to work as a lawyer with a Maharaja. But he died in a full youth and his family was shattered. The world had 7-8 siblings.

After the death of her husband, Jagdeep’s mother went to Karachi with children. But when India-Pakistan was divided, Jagdeep saw the blood atmosphere with his eyes. After the partition, Jagdeep’s family came to India. The family came here and faced financial crisis. Those who once lived with a lot became fascinated by the pie.
Eat rotten food
Jagdeep came to Mumbai to search for work. Where his mother got the work of cooking in the orphanage. Initially Jagdeep went to school but for family and responsibilities, he left studies and caught work in tin factories. Javed Jaffrey also told in the interview that his father had seen a very bad days. The family had come to death. He used to eat pieces of braid that fell on the bakery floor.
