New Delhi. People still know Guru Dutt, the most talented and mysterious filmmaker and actor of Hindi cinema for his best films. Guru Dutt is known for iconic films like ‘Pyaasa’, ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Ghulam’, ‘Paper Ke Phool’, ‘Vishwas’, ‘Sanjha and Savera’. With these films, he left a never -ending impression on the screen. His 100th birth anniversary is being celebrated this year. On this occasion, his family paid tribute to him. At the same time, his granddaughters told very interesting things about his hobby.

Guru Dutt, who was imprisoned in love with Waheeda Rehman, was ready to loot everything on him. Despite being married, he lost his heart to Waheeda Rehman, due to which his life car went out on the path of destruction. Guru Dutt, who said goodbye to the world at the age of only 39, used to compete with Dilip Kumar in terms of performance, but he was very fond of films as well as farming.

In a special interview to IANS on Guru Dutt’s birth anniversary, filmmakers Gauri and Karuna Dutt revealed the secret of their personal life, hobbies and family life. When IANS asked him, ‘We have heard that Guru Dutt was always busy with work. So was they able to go on holidays with family? ‘

So Gauri replied, ‘I think they used to try as much as possible, spend time with the family. Whenever he was out for shooting a film, he used to write letters and also plan a holiday at the end of work.

Karuna said, ‘We had a farmhouse in Lonavala, and my father has very special memories from that place. He spent a lot of time there. That place was very simple; There was no big or luxurious bungalow there. My grandfather used to show the chicks out of the eggs, and yes, he was very fond of growing vegetables. He always tried to create curiosity about life in children.

In memory of Guru Dutt, recently, six of his films were released digitally and released in theaters across the country. These include films like ‘Pyaasa’, ‘Baz’, and ‘Chaudhis Ka Chand’. The purpose of this initiative is to introduce the new generation to the cinematic heritage of Guru Dutt.

He died at the age of just 39 years. Guru Dutt’s son Arun Dutt had said in an interview, ‘My father had a problem of sleeplessness. They often used to take sleeping pills, as common people do. That night he was drunk and took overdose of sleeping pills, causing him to die.
