On January 23, he posted a post in Punjabi. In which it was indicated that the film will be released soon and the truth will be revealed.

Director Honey Trehan told NDTV that the film has been stuck in the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) since December 2022. The board had asked for more than 100 cuts in the film, but after that no update came.

Only trailer will save 127 cuts

He said that if 127 cuts are made, then only the trailer will be left in the film. He does not agree with these cuts and said that if he is implemented, he will remove his name from the film. He also said that he understands the pressure made on these cuts on the makers, but he believes that after these cuts the film will not be able to give a real glimpse of his direction.
