Rekha’s film Umrao Jaan was released in the year 1981.
New Delhi. Rekha’s ‘Umrao Jaan’, released in 1981, is included in the list of Cultic films. It was made by famous filmmaker Muzaffar Ali. Rekha’s film is ready to knock in theaters once again. Muzaffar Ali talked about his brilliant story, music as well as the popular film ‘Umrao Jaan’ for the 19th century Lucknow royal costumes and told how ComTums were ready for the film.
Every scene is decorated with the language of clothes
Muzaffar regretted that in today’s time the clothes sold in the market left behind the era when people used to make, color and wear their clothes. He said, ‘Every scene of the film is decorated with the language of clothes. These clothes were collected from people’s homes and old places.
Hard work in making clothes
At that time there was a work of natural colors and handmade weaving, not chemical -rich colors or nylon. It used to take time and hard work to make these clothes, but it used to come out as a magnificent art. He further said, ‘In that era, people were completely immersed in making clothes, music or anything. In today’s time, those things are not found, we can say that the time has now gone.
‘Umrao Jaan’ will be released again on this day
Let us tell you that three decades after Rekha’s release of ‘Umrao Jaan’, the film is ready for release in theaters again in the 4 -year -old Reference version on 27 June. In this, stars like Farooq Sheikh, Naseeruddin Shah, Shaukat Azmi, Dina Pathak and Bharat Bhushan were seen. The music was prepared by Popular Composer Khayyam for the film.
