Kedar Sharma remembered the old story in the old interview given to Prasar Bharati. When he cast Raj Kapoor in the film ‘Neil Kamal’, he was his assistant and he was angry and slapped him. Kedar Sharma said, ‘I saw that my friend Prithviraj Kapoor was very upset with his son. I asked him what is the matter and he said, ‘My son has entered Teenage and he wants to know everything about birds and bees. He has given up studies and it is becoming very difficult to deal with him. I can’t raise my hand on him, I do not know what to do ‘. I told him, ‘Leave the boy with me. I said, ‘When I slapped you, you did not cry, but when I gave you money, you are crying’. Raj Kapoor said, ‘Don’t you know, mercy hurts the most? Why are you showing so much generosity with me? I am useless, I will ruin your film and you, don’t make me your hero ‘. I hugged him and assured him that he is a perfect person for this work.
