New Delhi. The love story of Rajesh Khanna and Anju Mahendru is not hidden from anyone. He was in love with Anju Mahendru before marrying Dimple Kapadia. However, Kaka suddenly married Dimple Kapadia. Recently, Mumtaz said that if Anju Mahendru was with Rajesh, Kaka would have been alive even today. Mumtaz told that Anju Mahendru used to take great care of Rajesh Khanna.

In an interview to Vicky Lalwani, Mumtaz was asked if there was anything between him and Rajesh Khanna. So he said in response, ‘I wish it could happen, but it was not so. I would say that I lost that chance. I have spoken this thing a thousand times, there was nothing between us. But if people keep saying this again and again that there was something among us, then I can only say that I wish it would have happened.

Mumtaz further said, ‘Anju was a very good host. When I got married, my husband and I used to go to his house. She used to host very lovingly. He used to drink, Kaka also used to drink. I knew that they love each other very much. In fact, when I came to know that he left Anju and married Dimple Kapadia, I was very surprised.

Mumtaz further said, ‘I did not expect at all. Even today I will say that if Kaka lived with Anju, he would have been alive even today. Anju used to handle him like a flower. Mumtaz told that Anju Mahendru used to respect Rajesh Khanna very much and still does today. He said that even today Anju talks about Rajesh Khanna. There are many pictures of both of them in their house. It is known that Rajesh Khanna died in 2012 at the age of 69.
