The Delhi High Court has given relief to Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav. This is a check bounce case. Where the court has given conditional permission to the actor to visit the Melbourne. Actor wants to travel abroad for the promotion of his upcoming film ‘Mera Kale Da Yaar’ from 27 June to 5 July 2025. In such a situation, he knocked on the door of the court.

The court clarified that this permission will be subject to certain conditions, in which a fixed deposit receipt (FDR) of one lakh rupees will have to be deposited in the court registry. Also, your mobile number and email ID will also have to be provided, which should be operational all the time during the foreign trip.

Apart from this, the High Court directed that their passport deposited in the trial court should be handed over to them for traveling abroad, but after returning to India, it will be mandatory to submit it to the court again.

The case is registered under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, in which Rajpal Yadav was sentenced last year. He and his wife filed a petition against this sentence in the Delhi High Court. In June 2024, the court, assuming his sentence, had banned his sentence that he is not a serious criminal and there is scope for improvement and solution in his case. The court had suggested both sides to find the possibilities of mutual agreement, which is currently under consideration at the Mediation Center of Delhi High Court.

How much loans were taken

Let me tell you that in 2010, Rajpal Yadav took a loan of Rs 5 crore for his film ‘Ata-Patha Mapata’ as a director, but he could not return this amount. After which seven separate complaints related to check bounces were filed against him and others. In the case, the Karkardooma court sent several notices to Rajpal, but he did not appear in the court.
