New DelhiEminent director Mohit Suri, who is known for hit films like ‘Aashiqui 2’, ‘Avarpana’ and ‘Ek Villain’, recently revealed her new film ‘Saira’. Suri has told that what is the reason that he is bringing a romantic film again.
I was a little wandering…
Talking about, Mohit Suri said, ‘I was a little deviated, after making two consecutive thriller films, I saw that almost everyone was making the same films, buildings are being flying everywhere, helicopters are flying, everyone was doing the same thing. I saw a very good trailer of a film, but I did not go to see that film. Then I thought, if I am not going to see that film myself, then how should I expect others to go to see the film? ‘
I could not understand what kind of films I was doing
Keeping his point further, he further said that seeing the series ‘The Romantics’ of Netflix, I got inspired to return to romantic films and thus ‘Saira’ started. At that time I was writing something. Surprisingly, I myself did not know what I am making, then I saw the documentary series ‘The Romantics’, which was great. Seeing them, I understood how romantic heroes came in Hindi films and what is their importance. Then I talked to my writer, who was also working with me as Assistant Associate Director. I told him that let’s write a romantic film. At that time we had no producers, there was only one idea.
Let me tell you that while sharing a funny anecdote, Mohit Suri said that when the songs of the film were being recorded, music composer Tanishq Bagchi jokingly said to him- ‘Get Out’. Director Mohit Suri recalled and said, ‘When I worked, the atmosphere was a little serious. One day we were all sitting in the room, then Tanishq Bagchi looked at me and said, ‘Get out’, he told me so that the team could work more openly and comfortably. ‘Saira’ is scheduled to release in theaters on July 18.
