She was then struggling with alcohol addiction and her health also deteriorated. Meena’s deteriorating health carried forward the shooting of the film, so that Sawan did not have money left. So to help her friend, Meena Kumari decided to sell her Bandra bungalow, which was finally bought by her co-star Mumtaz. This decision of Meena Kumari gave the speculation of her bankruptcy. Yes, some people claimed that they have become bankrupt, others said that Mumtaz has helped him by buying Meena’s property. Why did Mumtaz bought Meena Kumari’s luxurious house?
